Raleigh R. Rawls

Named in honor of Broward County’s longest serving African-American attorney, this scholarship will be awarded to an African American high school senior who has overcome obstacles during their high school journey and has expressed an interest in pursuing a career in the legal field.

The legal profession continues to play a critical role in addressing issues such as civil rights, voting access, criminal justice reform, technology and privacy, and social inequality.

 

Prompt:

Describe a personal experience, current event, or social issue that has influenced your desire to pursue a career in law. How has this experience shaped your values, and what positive change do you hope to create in your community or society as an attorney?
